2.Sungai Mahakam - Kalimantan Timur

Memanjang sepanjang 920 km dari hulunya di Kutai Barat hingga Selat Makassar.Sungai ini memegang bidang transportasi , perikanan , dan irigasi bagi Kalimantan Timur.Sungai ini juga merupakan habitat bagi ikan Pesut Mahakam .

3.Sungai Barito - Kalimantan Selatan

Sama dengan sungai Kapuas , aliran Barito diawali dari Pegunungan Muller,namun bermuaranya di Laut Jawa.Sungai ini memanjang hingga 909 km dan lebarnya 650 m - 800 m yang menjadikan sungai ini menjadi sungai terlebar di Indonesia.Dan dibagian muaranya , bisa mencapai 1000m atau 1 km.

4.Batanghari - Sumatera Barat dan Jambi.

Mengalir sepanjang 800 km dari mata airnya di Gunung Rasan dengan muara di Muara Sabak di Timur Sumatra.Sungai ini merupakan sungai terpanjang di Sumatera.Sungai ini selain mempunyai fungsi sama dengan sungai besar lainnya,juga digunakan sebagai tempat penyaringan emas.

5.Sungai Musi - Sumatera Selatan

Memanjang hingga 750 km mulai dari Bengkulu hingga di Sumatera Selatan.Sungai ini membelah kota Palembang menjadi 2 yang dihubungkan oleh Jembatan Ampera.

6.Sungai Mamberamo - Papua

Mengalir sepanjang 670 km dari bagian selatan Pegunungan Foja.Sungai ini dijuluki Amazonnya Papua karena besarnya sungai dan banyaknya flora fauna disekitarnya.

7.Bengawan Solo - Jawa Tengah dan Jawa Timur
Sungai terpanjang di seantero Jawa ini menempati posisi ke 7 .Panjangnya mencapai 548,53 km . Muaranya ada di bagian pegunungan di Wonogiri dan Ponorogo dan muaranya di Gresik.

8.Sungai Digul - Papua

Sungai yang berasal dari Papua ini mempunyai hulu di Pegunungan Maoke dan muaranya di Merauke yang membentang sepanjang 525 km.

9.Sungai Indragiri - Riau

Mengalir sepanjang 500 km . Sungai ini merupakan gabungan dari Sungai Ombilin dan Sungai Sinamar yang bersatu menjadi Indragiri .
